The use of rip-rap has already destroyed and damaged much of West Cliff, it would be such a shame to see more of it. If we keep it up there will be no more arches, no more beaches, no more sandstone cliffs: all the things that make Santa Cruz so beautiful. Managed Retreat would definitely be the best option, I hope the city has enough foresight to do so.
