I found it in response to a search on the Pulgas Water Temple. When we visted the temple as kids, there was never anyone there, and the surroundings were more natural. I often reminisce about my magical childhood in San Mateo before the peninsula became the crowded place it is today.

In high school, we used to drive out to the temple for something to do. Watching the water rushing through the temple is a treasured memory from my childhood. I was sad to hear the water no longer flows. The force and power of the water was something to behold as the streams violently crashed together. As you would bend over the edge, you could feel the cool mist that was always present. We always used to feel we were in on s secret, since it was such a magical place with no one else around. No ranger (that we could see), no tourists, no fancy setting, just this piece of beautiful history.

Thnaks very much. for posting this.

Restore Hetch Hetchy has moved past our loss on the ballot in 2012. We have sued San Francisco – the next court hearing will be in May.

Best,
